How to change my wardrobe with the clothes I have? :)?

Hi! I like the indie style, but most of my clothing is girly, frilly, childish, all that crap..people buy that for me. I want to look indie and get rid of that "girly" look, but I don't want to get rid of my whole wardrobe and buy new clothes, I don't have the time or the cash. Is there anything I can do that will change my wardrobe from girly to indie, without the shopping spree? Thanks a bunch! xoxo :)
