How do I cut my normal T-shirts into V-necks without doing any sewing?

I've grown sick of some of my old T-shirts. I'd like to cut them to make them look cool/indie-rock. We're moving soon so my sewing machine is packed away. Otherwise, I would've sewed it. How can I cut them to make them look indie without using the sewing machine?
